Medifast Diet Pros & Cons
You could be in for a surpise if you haven’t heard of the Medifast Diet program yet. This plan is fast, safe, easy, satisfying, and encouraging. Many dieters endorse this diet including professional health workers and doctors.
This diet plan allows you to eat up to six meals a day and is a packaged plan. It recommends exercising 3 to 5 times per week for 30 to 45 minutes at a time.
This is the reduction plan for you, if you enjoy eating. The up side of this plan is that your meals come to your door in serving size packaged meals. To stay on the plan all you do is eat one salad or green meal, which you prepare yourself, plus 5 Medifast packaged meals that you choose.
A pro to this program is no calorie counting and no portioning of meals. Another plus factor is that on this diet you will not go hungry since you eat every 2 to 3 hours during the day.
A disadvantage to this diet plan is that some feel slothful or a little off for the first few days. You can work through this initial sluggishness period if you stick to your exercises and eat your meals as the diet plan suggests.
One issue that some people feel is a drawback is the very low calorie daily allotment. Most dieters on this weight loss program take in around 800 calories per day. Although the caloric intake is low those following the plan will lose the weight quickly. On the con side if you only have a small amount of weight to lose like 5 or 10 pounds, this is not the reduction plan for you.
Another con is that you must reduce to a low force exercise routine on this reduction plan, which is difficult if you already participate in high force workouts.
This program is not made for long term use. You will have to train yourself and recondition the way you eat and what you eat to maintain your weight loss. Many may slip backwards into their old habits.
Another argument against is there is very little program support better said none whatsoever available, not like other diet programs. You are probably on your own here. Some may not mind this but overall many need the support.
However there is a wealth of data available on the Medifast Diet program’s web site. Overall, this diet plan can assist you with your weight loss and to make better meal selections. You can check out the Medifast diet review for more information. If you are looking for a medically backed weight loss plan that is safe and not long-term, then this diet may be for you.
